Do Not TouchPosted by AG (London, United Kingdom) on 22 June 2006 in Plant & Nature. A cactus is pretty much a cactus, I thought . . but, no, there are said to be some 200 genera and several thousand species. So, here's four for starters. - AG AFTERTHOUGHTS I put the four together because I did not want to inflict four postings of cacti upon you and seeing the variations and thinking about the different defense mechanisms together added something. #1 looks almost manufactured in the precision and #4 does not pierce as much as irritate and infect . . nice bunch to fall in with. There are some more varieties which look interesting but I need to re-shoot those because their fuzzy surfaces messed with the AF : another form of defense! - AG, June 23, 2006 Welcome to American Grey | light This site stands in the long shadow of American Grey | frames, my (closed) original photoblog 2005-2009.
