Maintaining the Waterlilies

At the Waterlily House, all we visitors see is the perfect display but, to keep it that way, someone has to take off their boots and wade in with the secateurs now and then. As this is the hottest and most humid glasshouse at Kew and the water is dyed an inky black to discourage algae, it is not quite the fun it sounds. But almost.
