Autumn Arrives

Yesterday, September 23, was the First Day of Autumn for me and I believe, for my southern friends, Spring was declared over three weeks ago. No way of deciding which season is ‘best’ but, me, I’ll settle for whichever is ahead of us.

These phlomis russeliana seedheads look content enough whatever we call the day. Nature creates some beautiful sculpture and I am eager to see these covered in frost . .
