Trafalgar Square, 1977Posted by AG (London, United Kingdom) on 22 September 2007 in Documentary & Street. One from my archives . . Trafalgar Square, London around 1977 when it was still open to pigeons. The camera was a Pentax Spotmatic running Kodak Ektachrome Pro and this is scanned from a print made from the transparency by the Ilford Cibachrome process. The home chemistry used was potentially lethal and involved potassium cyanide. The bleach was a solution of sulfuric acid with a phenazine added : the latter being a carcinogen. The chemicals were so corrosively acid that they had to be neutralized before disposal. Happy days. - AG Welcome to American Grey | light This site stands in the long shadow of American Grey | frames, my (closed) original photoblog 2005-2009.
