Shad Thames 1

Posted by AG (London, United Kingdom) on 25 February 2008 in Documentary & Street.

I plan to have a few shots of this district of London during the week.

The area has a long history of shipping and warehousing dwindling away until the 1970’s when it fell into complete disuse but the old commercial buildings have since been converted into expensive apartments with many smart eateries along the narrow streets.

Because of the historic industrial layout, there is no traditional ‘front’ or ‘back’ and kitchens, bakeries and prep areas like these are open to unusual public view.
