London City Walk : Fire Safe

I spent some time last week wandering around the old part of the City of London and have a few random images to post from that walk.

This is an old ‘fire safe’ in which deeds and documents would be placed for security. I could not understand why it seemed to be in the street until it was explained to me that it was originally inside an office building which was bombed during WW2. The building is gone . . just the safe remains.
