Templar’s Church

:
Also known as Temple Church, this is one of several church buildings associated with the Inns of Temple here. First consecrated in 1185, it has seen many physical changes and, although undamaged in the Fire of London (1666) it was refurbished by Christopher Wren and then heavily restored by the Victorians in the 1800’s. Much was destroyed in WW2 and the current building essentially dates from the 1950s restoration which incorporated many recovered features.
