The riverside is a great place for decay, rot, erosion and rust, the ghosts of mysterious markings. . . and stories. Old men will tell of converting that 1915 launch, beyond, from steam to diesel as if it were done just yesterday rather than in 1947 “. . when the price of coal shot up . . “
