Goslings Set Out

Posted by
AG (London, United Kingdom) on 10 May 2008 in Animal & Insect.

I had read that the goslings pictured yesterday at the nest would be able to feed themselves and amble about within hours of hatching but I was amazed to see the nest abandoned this very next day and the whole family 250 yards further along the bank enjoying the sunshine. In about eight weeks, the goslings will be able to fly . . no wonder this is a successful species!
