Each year around this time, I notice the sad state of our wonderful Chestnut Trees.

For several years, now, an infectious bacteria has been causing problems and moths thought to have spread from the Mediterranean are also destroying the leaves of many horse chestnut trees, as is a fungal infection, leaf blotch.

We cannot afford to lose these.
