Nos. 64-67

Posted by AG (London, United Kingdom) on 14 March 2012 in Documentary & Street.

The house in the center, No. 65, carries the 'Blue Plaque' commemorating the painter Johann Zoffany (1734-1810) having lived there. He seems to also have owned and lived at no. 69 just out of shot to the left.

No. 65 was owned by diplomat, journalist and author Sir George Young in the early-1920s but it was the architect Philip Hepworth who, in the 1930s, completely restored the property in fine detail.
