A short walk around Hampstead, a London 'village' long popular with writers and artists. This Walk is based around one in the excellent guide books by Andrew Duncan.
Seen here is the Well Walk drinking fountain - once a well and spring that made Hampstead a popular spa resort in the 1700's. Trustees of the Well widely advertised the medicinal qualities of the chalybeate waters (water impregnated with iron).
